Learn to manage your emotions when everything around you is totally f*cked up. Distress tolerance is a Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) approach to learning to soothe yourself, reduce harmful impulses, and handle life's inescapable challenges.

In other words, here's your chance to become the chill, cool version of yourself instead of crumbling into an emotional mess and/or rage monster when things go wrong.

Get Shit Done

Join the zoom to work on the thing you are putting off (chores, taxes, homework, work, whatever). It’s come and go and free (but you can buy me a coffee if you want: etransfer rebecca@figtreewellness.ca).

If you come at the start or stay till the end, you'll be invited to share what you're working on out loud or in the chat (but you don't have to). The idea is to just have some accountability so you can productive!

Literally just log on and get shit done and pretend you're a responsible adult.

This workshop is all about how to cope when everything is fucked... because let's be honest, it's BAD out there.

So... when everything sucks, how can we hang on to the last thread of our sanity? That's where mindfulness comes in. We will focus a ton of simple ways to learn to be more present-focused, which is a super evidence-based way to be less miserable.

Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) is a style of therapy that integrates acceptance and change and acknowledges opposing things can be true at the same time.

Through 4 sessions, you will get a chance to try out these tried and true techniques and see if they can make you feel slightly less shitty while the world crumbles around us. :)
